This week is a very important week in that it offers the inspiration of community. Finding, reconnecting or connecting deeper to a like-minded group or church is a great way to lift your spirits throughout the year. Creating a solid foundation of a relationship with others that you feel connected to is very important in our own personal evolution. We are here to help each other grow. I find it less invasive and more along the lessons I am needing to learn when I seek a common group like a yoga or meditation class. These are people that are close to a similar spiritual path as me or at least we have similar interests.
If you don’t have a group that you can claim for this week’s connection, think of who you would like to be surrounded by. Who inspires you? Who grounds you? Who makes you want to be a better person, achieving goals and making a difference in some form? What do you want to change about yourself for the better? Find that like connection and see where it takes you. If you find a group or church that doesn’t feel right for you, keep trying. There is a community that exists that will ease your spirit, support your soul and offer the support you need at times in your life.
For me, I have several groups like this. The two most important groups like this in my life are within my spiritual mentors as well as within chiropractic and my mentors in that profession. These two aspects of my life have provided a foundation that in time has become unshakable. It has created such an anchor in my life that I know that support is only a like-minded individual away if needed. When I am in spiritual or practice turmoil… or both, I know that a member of my spiritual path as well as my chiropractic brothers & sisters will have some form of support. For me, they also tend to have like-minded individuals and offer me a form of grounded connection.
Having a group that you feel accepted and welcomed to be part of is an important part of feeling love & support in your life. Keep in mind being a part of the group that doesn’t make you positively grow as an individual or makes you feel less than the gloriousness that you are, then that is not the right group for you. Just like restaurants, if you eat at a bad one… you don’t stop eating out altogether. You simply find one that appeals to your likes and needs.
Have fun this week! Find this connection for you in your life. It shouldn’t be stressful. It should be rewarding and progressive. I wish you well on your journey of truly transforming your mind, body and soul! Good luck as you continue this transformative journey! I know that each week we are all closer to a more whole, happier version of ourselves. Give yourself a hug or pat on the back for all your weeks of hard work! Week 52 is coming so fast!
